ABOUT LILLY HILT
Founded by passionate hairdressers and creative directors Jodie Burns and Trayce Griffin, whose friendship began backstage at London Fashion Week.
What started with borrowing a comb became a global creative partnership.
For Trayce, it was her very first time leaving the USA to work as part of an international fashion week hair team.
Jodie, based in London, volunteered as a backstage runner, hoping to get closer to the industry and connect with the hair team. By chance, the team found themselves short of stylists and invited Jodie to step in.
Standing beside Trayce with no tools of her own, Jodie asked to borrow a comb, and from that moment, a lifelong friendship and creative partnership began.
The following week, Jodie was invited to join the team at Paris Fashion Week, where she stayed with Trayce, and the pair quickly became inseparable.
By the next fashion season, they had planned to travel Europe together, but their careers moved even faster than expected. Before long, they were leading their own shows and managing their own backstage teams across the fashion world.
Why the name “Lilly Hilt”?
The name combines the foundations of both founders’ successful salon brands:
Lilly comes from Jodie’s multi-award-winning salon, Lilly Locks Hair & Beauty, based in East Grinstead, just outside London, England.
Hilt comes from Trayce’s award-winning USA salons, The Hilt and The Hilt Salon Fort Mill.
Together, Jodie and Trayce built Lilly Hilt from a shared passion for hairdressing, creativity, education, and teamwork. Supported by incredible salon teams they now proudly call family, they continue to travel the world creating hair for international fashion shows and inspiring the next generation of stylists.
